Exxon Mobil Reports

$36 billion. Exxon’s earnings are down by more than a third from their 2022
peak, but they’re still well above the norm of the past few decades. The
business reported revenue of $7.6 billion in the fourth quarter, down 40
percent from the same time last year. The decrease was partially attributed to
a $2 billion impairment charge related to California regulatory issues. As
production in the Permian Basin of Guyana and West Texas reached historic
levels, Exxon highlighted its cost-cutting initiatives as production in the
